Uvari - a coastal /fishing village located in Tirunelveli disrict,Tamilnadu, India
Uvari's historical name was Obeer Pattanam and it was once ruled by Pandian king
Nearest Airport is Tuticorin and it is located 50km from Kanyakumari which is well connected with roadways. It is located 70kms from Tirunelveli which is well connected with both road and railways. As we started our trip from Tuticorin we took a private car and reached the spot within two hours of time.

Places to visit in Uvari:
- St.Antony's Church - This is the only St.Antony church in Tamilnadu which is located beside sea.
- Swayambulingawamy Temple - This temple looks very beautiful surrounded by coconut trees and palm trees on the sea shore. Main deity here is Lord shiva, here he graces as a swayambumurthi. There are four fresh water springs located near the sea shore but the water is used only for abhisekam purpose.
